Working with Churches in NW Minnesota

” Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.” Psalms 133:1-3, KJV.
For several years, we have been blessed to work together with a group of cooperating churches in Northwest Minnesota. I have found that when God’s people come together in unity, for the cause of the Gospel, the Lord puts his blessing upon the meetings in a special way. Our meetings last weekend were no exception.
On Oct. 2-3, the Christian Outpost of Twin Valley, Good News Fellowship Church of Gary, and Healing Waters Church of Mahnomen sponsored Hope and Healing Services with our ministry. God’s presence was strong in all the meetings, including a men’s breakfast held at the Red Apple Cafe in Mahnomen. The healing services were held at Good News Fellowship in Gary.
Musician and Singer Spike Nordenstom of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota joined me in ministering on Saturday night, which brought a great blessing. I spoke on receiving God’s anointing for healing. I talked about the woman with the issue of blood from Mark 5, who touched the hem of Jesus garment and was healed of the disease she had for 12 years. Interestingly, the word translated “touched” is from a Greek word meaning to fasten oneself to, adhere to, or cling to. The woman with the issue of blood grabbed a hold of Jesus, intending to get what she needed from the Lord. Likewise we all need to do the same.
A woman from the Mahnomen area who had been under afflictions in her body and soul for 12 years, came forward for prayer and was touched by God. Others testified that they received a great refreshing.
On Sunday I spoke on Healing a Wounded Spirit. Again, many were touched by God—spirit, soul and body.
On Sunday morning, I also had the opportunity to join Pastor Norm Gullingsrud for the Good News radio broadcast on the Ada and Mahnomen radio station. I always sense a strong anointing for evangelism on the radio. I spoke on “You Must Be Born Again” and Norm shared his salvation experience with the listeners.
How good and pleasant it is, when the brethren dwell together in unity!
