This April, I Propose a New Beginning!

Dear Precious People,
This month shall be the beginning of months to you. It shall be the first month of the year to you. (Exodus 12:2 MEV)
This April, I would like to propose a new beginning for you and me.
I believe it’s time for a renewal, a refreshing, and a release of new life, not because the grass is about to turn green and the trees are about to bud. Thank God for that, but there’s a much more dynamic and powerful reality to celebrate.
When God was about to move Israel out of Egypt, He said, “This month shall be unto you the beginning of months.” This is the starting point, He said. This is your day of release. This month, you shall kill the Passover lamb, and you shall leave Egypt behind.
The month was Nissan (not an automobile), the beginning of months. Not January, when we celebrate the New Year, but Nissan (more like April), when the Passover lamb was slain and when Jesus our Passover was slain for us. It’s near the time that we celebrate Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday.
You see, the Passover is the beginning! It’s when the blood is shed and we are forgiven that life begins. Israel was told to kill the Passover lamb and put the blood on their doorposts. The death angel was assigned to go through the land and take the life of every firstborn child. But those who had the blood applied to their doorposts were spared … protected … saved. The death angel passed over their houses. They went out of Egypt and began a new life, free from Pharaoh and Egypt’s grip on their life.
Likewise, we are saved by the blood. No other way. When John the Baptist saw Jesus, He cried out, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.” (John 1:29 MEV). Only by the blood was Israel saved. Only by the blood are we saved. Jesus, the Lamb of God, came to earth to die on the cross to take away our sin.
The blood that Jesus shed on the cross IS our deliverance! This is the point of departure from our old life. It is where the power of sin is broken, and we rise in newness of life. The cross is a line of demarcation between you and the devil’s plans for your life. The cross marks the end of an era. Before the cross, Satan ruled. But now the chains of sin are broken, and we go free!
When I came to the Lord nearly 50 years ago, I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Precious is the blood of the Lamb, which was shed for you.” Then He said, “I give you a new life, free from the bonds of iniquity.” This is the revelation I am still living on today. Jesus died for my sins that I might have new life!
You can have a form of religion without the blood. You can go through the motions and have a nice church service and a wonderful fellowship meal. But you cannot have life without the blood. The life is in the blood. Preach the blood! Believe in the blood! Live under the blood! It’s a new day. It’s the beginning of months!
Israel was commanded to remember the Passover every year. This was the event that broke the power of Egypt off their lives. This April, as we remember that our Passover has died for us and we celebrate His resurrection, let us walk in the light of freedom that’s ours in Christ Jesus. We are set free, and our future is bright!
Dear Father, I thank you for my friends who are reading this. I thank you for all you have done for us through your Son, Jesus. Lord, I pray that you would give us all a Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of you, that we might be able to comprehend what it means to be a child of God, in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
You Can Become a Child of God!
