Here are some testimonies from our time of ministry with Slovak Roma people in the Midlands of England earlier this month. We thank God for these precious people who are turning to the Lord and finding the peace that comes from knowing Jesus. They welcomed us also with open arms. I am very grateful that we could host Tom & Susan Shanklin in our church. Their ministry was very refreshing and I received a new passion for the Lord. I myself, learned some new things with regards to walking the journey with the Lord. I realised again, that we have to walk in the love of God and in the fire of the Holy Spirit. It reminded me that we have to be obedient to the Lord and be lead by Him. The main thing I learned through their ministry, is that we have to take the Gospel out to people, that we have to live the Gospel.  I needed to hear again what our sister Susan Shanklin said, that we need to keep together so the enemy doesn’t have any power over our lives. Also, I was glad to hear how important it is to have a vision and a strategy as a church. This was a very important word, especially for me, as a pastor. 

My wife was also touched and we both realised that we need to minister together as a married couple. My wife told me that she was very encouraged by Susan’s ministry as a woman and my wife would like to be more involved in our ministry too. My wife was deeply touched and all I can say is that this ministry brought positive change into our lives. We give thanks for Tom & Susan and for their hearts for ministry.

I am very grateful to God for your ministry. It was refreshing to see a couple like yourselves ministering as a team together in the anointing of the Holy Spirit and in the wisdom of the Word of God.

You really carry the fire of the Holy Spirit.

I received spiritual healing through your ministry. Recently I felt very down and discouraged in my ministry and you have truly encouraged me in my walk with God.

Through your ministry I have received a fresh fire of the Holy Spirit. Now I have a new zeal and passion to continue in my ministry.  I needed this encouragement as I felt exhausted in my pastoral role. During your ministry I was greatly encouraged to come to the Lord with all my burdens!

I came forward in faith for prayer to be filled with the Holy Spirit.  I wanted to be filled with the Holy Spirit’s power and wanted to talk in new tongues. 

When you prayed for me I sensed peace and I felt the power of the Holy Spirit on me. Inside, I felt a powerful touch of overflowing love and peace. I knew that I was filled with the Holy Spirit as I started to speak in new tongues. 

I thank God for the ministry of brother Tom Shanklin, his wife Susan Shanklin and of the missionary Stan Strunc.

We greatly enjoyed the Evangelism conference with Tom Shanklin Ministries. I myself, was very much encouraged and the whole church was greatly encouraged too. I received some great insights into my life and for my church.  The passion and desire to evangelise and to reach out to the lost was rekindled inside me. I also realised how simple it is to share our faith with others and that sometimes we tend to complicate it! I realised that if we put our hearts into it, that it’s actually very simple to share the Gospel with others. 

Evangelism Conference organised by Christian Centre Logos Rotherham, England

There were seven pastors from different churches, and people from many other churches as well.  The conference was attended by more than one hundred people! 

God touched many people with a new zeal for evangelism and with a passion for the lost. Some people experienced physical healing. One lady who came forward for prayer, was in constant pain in her knees and she got healed. She was even dancing as the crowd rejoiced with her and worshiped the Lord! We had a report that this lady is still enjoying her healing! She was only visiting England and now she’s back in Slovakia.

Through the ministry of Tom & Susan Shanklin, I received fresh fire, vision and strategy for my work as an evangelist. I strongly sensed the presence of the Holy Spirit and I am so glad that I also had the opportunity to talk with Tom Shanklin during a break. I had several questions and it was great to discuss them and to get some different perspectives on the ministry of evangelist.
