Using Skype to Preach the Gospel
In March, the Lord opened a new venue of ministry for us—Skype. Pastor Randy and Donna Barstad of Lindford Christian Fellowship of Littlefork, Minnesota invited us to share about our mission to England in their home Bible Study via Skype, which is a video chat service on the internet that provides two-way video conferencing. Littlefork is located on the Canadian border, nearly 400 miles from us, so it would have been quite a drive. Instead, Susan and I sat in our dining room and visited with the folks in Littlefork. They had us on the the big screen TV and we could also see and hear them. So, we chatted and shared and answered questions. It was almost like being there, except we couldn’t partake of the treats.
This was my first experience with Skype. But I remembered that a minister from Pakistan had asked me to share with her congregation via Skype. So I contacted her and arranged a time to share the Word with God’s people on the other side of the world. On Sunday morning I arose at 3 a.m. to be ready to preach at 4 a.m., which was 2 p.m. their time. I had a wonderful time and the people responded well to a message on “Faithfulness to God.” Somehow I think that this may not be the last time that we use Skype to preach the Gospel in all the world.

You may remember when Susan and I were in India, I had a word of knowledge and prayed for women who had experienced miscarriages. We have now received word that two women who we prayed for have given birth and one just had a baby shower for her upcoming birth. Praise the Lord Jesus! “He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD.” Psalms 113:9, KJV.
Your Part, Our Part, God’s Part
The Word of God says that “For we are labourers together with God…” 1 Corinthians 3:9, KJV. You, Tom and Susan and God make a very powerful team! Your prayers and your financial support are a needed part of that equation. The Lord is using us together to bring life and bring change in the earth. Jesus IS the answer for the world today. Susan and I are connected with you through spiritual bonds as we pray for you daily. Please keep us in your prayers as well, as we take the Gospel to ALL the world and to EVERY creature.
