Revival Meetings in Starkweather, North Dakota

I traveled to Starkweather, North Dakota in June for three days of meetings at Trinity-Bergen Lutheran Church. We promoted this as “Revival: Forgiveness, Healing & Divine Purpose.” On our poster, we stated, “Come and be refreshed!” And God did not fail to bring His refreshing to those who came with open hearts.
In three nights, I preached on “You Must Be Born Again” (John 3:1-17), “Such as I Have Give I Thee” (Acts 3), and “The Epicenter of World Revival: Igniting a World Revival from Your Personal Jerusalem” (Acts 1:8). We also held a Healing School for those wanting to learn more about ministering healing to the sick.
Through the refreshing of the Holy Spirit…
- A Roman Catholic priest who came to the meeting discouraged left with great joy and danced a jig twice before leaving.
- A Presbyterian pastor was healed of pain in her back and knee and was revived in her spirit for the work of the Gospel.
- Two young women from Ellendale, North Dakota (over three hours away) attended two night services and the healing school and were commissioned and released in their Gospel ministries.
- A young couple was also commissioned and stirred for their ministry together in Gospel work, along with others who came forward to be released, encouraged, and to receive prayer for Gospel ministry.
- A number of people reported healing of physical pain and symptoms.
- Others were relieved of emotional distress with the obvious work of the Holy Spirit registering on their faces.
A spirit of joy pervaded the meetings. On the second night, many came forward to ask to be used of God to “do the works of Jesus.” (John 14:12) On the final night, many prayers were offered by the people for revival in their churches and for healing in their communities. One the unique features of these meetings was the joint-participation of everyone involved. Pastor Rob Buechler and I worked as a team, especially during the prayer times, and others participated with words of knowledge and anointed prayers. There was great freedom in the meetings, and yet there was a beautiful order.
I always like to give our partners reports on our ministry in various places, but I especially wanted to share about these meetings because I see them as a pattern for things to come. I believe the Church desperately needs revival. Without it, we cannot turn the tide of ungodliness in society. There is a heavy veil upon people’s eyes, and unless they see the reality of Jesus in the life of the Church, they will remain untouched. But as God’s glory floods the earth through His people, we will see healing in the land.
Thank you for standing with us and praying for us in this work. We are praying for the outpouring of His Spirit in your life and in your church as well. Please let us know how God is moving in your life!
Praise the name of Jesus!
