Susan and I had some wonderful meetings in Minnesota and South Dakota last month. Susan had a good time preaching at a women’s meeting at Hillside Church in Mankato, Minnesota. The ladies were strengthened, encouraged, and pointed forward. They were gracious and kind, appreciative of the ministry, and it was good to see old and new faces.

We also visited our friends at Faith Family Christian Center in Astoria, South Dakota with Pastors Chris and Joyce Caugherty, where I encouraged the saints to stir up the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I believe that we need these gifts to be in manifestation in our churches and our daily lives more than ever.

I had the privilege of sharing at a Pastors Conference at Holy Life Tabernacle in Brookings, South Dakota, where I spoke on “Don’t Forget to Preach the Cross.” The heart of our message is what Jesus did on the cross for us, redeeming us from sin and bringing us into our inheritance. All roads in the scripture lead back to the cross. So I encouraged the ministers to find the cross-connection in every message they preach.

I visited Word of Faith Fellowship in Avoca, Minnesota with Pastor John and Terry Stenen. In adult Sunday School, I taught from Acts 8 about Phillips ministry in the city of Samaria, emphasizing the need for preaching Christ and believing God for miracles in our ministries. I then shared a message from John 14:1-6 on “The Way to Heaven.” I spoke about how Jesus has prepared a place (residence or mansion) in heaven. I believe if Jesus designed it and built it, it will be a mansion. Not only that, it’s fully paid for! There will be no mortgage, taxes, insurance, or utility bills. And in contrast to our earthly dwellings, our new homes will require no remodeling. Heaven is a wonderful place, and Jesus is the only way to get there! By following Him, we have a bright future!

Bibles for Kenya

We received the following report from our representative in Kenya, Pastor Davis Juma:

“Greetings in Jesus name! I today rejoice with you about my successful evangelism trip to Transmara in the Rift Valley in Kenya. God, through the simple message of the cross we shared, saved the lost and yesterday they joined a local church in the village. I handed them over to the pastor to nurture them, promising to be visiting to strengthen them.  Through the monthly gifts you send me I was able to buy and carry them 30 Swahili Bibles which I gave to the new converts.”

Prayer Requests

Please continue to pray for Susan and me and for this ministry. I am praying especially for new open doors for evangelism and revival. Please continue to pray for our health as well, that we can fulfill all that God has for us in this life. We are thanking God for the progress we have made physically and what we can do and are looking forward to total restoration. Please also pray for the missionaries we are working with around the world, and the work we are supporting in Benin, West Africa. Pray that God’s purposes will be continue to be accomplished through these relationships.

Susan and I lift you up to our Father every day, giving Him thanks for your partnership and expecting Him to work miracles in your life. As Paul said to His partners in Phillipi, “I thank my God for every reminder of you. In every prayer of mine for you all, I have always made requests with joy, due to your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now.
