Here’s the latest photo of the second floor classroom addition for the schools in Benin. Next step is pouring the slab for the roof. More details below.

In February, we had our annual board meeting for Tom Shanklin Ministries, which was a great encouragement to Susan and me. Each year, we look back at the past year and move ahead with our goals for the future. Glory to God! Here are some things that were accomplished in 2024:

• We saw a large increase in our digital ministry, including 4,880 views (a 171 percent increase) on YouTube, 41,296 views (a 14 percent increase) on our website, and  2,763 listens on our audio podcasts. 85 percent of listeners listened to at least 75 percent of the programs.
• Held home meetings in Multan, Pakistan, by WhatsApp video, where many of those attending received Jesus as Lord in prayer.
• Tom and Susan taught on marriage at a home group in Mahtomedi, Minnesota.
• Held a four-week class on Activating Your Ministry at a church in Lake Elmo, Minnesota.
• Spoke for four days at Kids at the Point Youth Camp in Astoria, South Dakota. Several of the young people made commitments to Christ, and the entire group was challenged to become fishers of men.
• Spoke at an outreach on the White Earth Indian Reservation.
• Preached at a church in Secunderabad, India by Skype.
• Held a four-day personal evangelism seminar in Starkweather, North Dakota.
• Gave over $17,000 to help ministries working in Africa, South America, India, Nepal, the United States, and other places around the world.

Teaching on the Gifts of the Spirit

We taught a series of messages on “Moving in the Gifts of the Spirit” at Outpost Church in Center City, Minnesota, and also at a home meeting in Lino Lakes. We are finding that these messages are bringing peace and clarity to those who are attending. God never intended for any of us to do His work without the help of the Holy Spirit. We are also beginning a group in our home in March, where we will be studying “Personal Evangelism.” If you would like for us to bring either of these teachings to your church or community, we are gassed up and ready to go!

Update on the Benin Classroom Project

I am happy to report that $3,400 was donated in February and $1,000 so far in March for the classroom addition for the Mt. Moriah Bible School and Vocational High School in Benin. We have transferred this money to Benin, and work is going forward in earnest. I am looking forward to seeing this project completed, as it will provide much-needed classroom space for the two schools. Only $4,875 remains to complete the project.
