Funds Needed for Benin Schools

Tom Shanklin Ministries has been a part of the development of the Mt. Moriah Bible School and the Mt. Moriah Vocational High School in Benin, West Africa. With the help of our partners, we have provided funds for a well for water, a dormitory, a kitchen and dining room, and classrooms on a rural property in southern Benin. The most recent project was a second-floor classroom expansion added to the building housing the dining room and kitchen, completed in October 2025. It’s amazing what God has done since we began giving support in 2019!
Presently, there are four full-time Bible school students living in the dormitory and 13 part-time students living elsewhere. The vocational high school has 19 students living in the dormitory and 25 living elsewhere. The vocational high school has programs in civil engineering, electrical engineering, and fashion design, along with spiritual development to prepare the students to be witnesses.
I recently visited with Apostle Isaac Clossou via WhatsApp video chat about the ministry’s plans for the future. He said that they eventually plan to construct another building. However, right now the greatest need is for the operational expenses of the schools, including teachers’ salaries, educational materials, government-mandated programs, and food for the students living in the dormitory. If you would like to give an offering to help with operational expenses at the two schools, you can click here to donate to the Benin Mission. One hundred percent of all designated offerings will be sent to Benin to help educate young people who are the future of Benin.
