Yesterday, Susan and I visited the Hillcrest Nursing Home here in Mankato. We held a service for the residents. I spoke on “Knowing God” from John 17:3:“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” John 17:3, KJV. I emphasized the great privilege we have to enjoy a personal and vital relationship with the living God. Many of the residents raised their hands to indicate they wanted to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and followed in a prayer for salvation. Afterwards, Susan and I had a good time visiting with the folks. Susan has a great knack and love for older people. I always feel like the Lord brings a “revival spirit” when we go to the nursing homes. If you’re looking for a place to minister, try the nursing homes. It’s a great place to share God’s love and fulfill His will.
