“Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. When the crowds heard Philip and saw the miracles which he did, they listened in unity to what he said. For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed. And many who were paralyzed or lame were healed. So there was much joy in that city.” (Acts 8:5-8, MEV)

When Philip the evangelist went down to Samaria, he didn’t preach psychology, sociology, or Greek philosophy. He didn’t give them a political lecture. No, he preached Christ because that that is the message that works

Notice the results of His ministry! Unclean spirits came out of many who were possessed by them, and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed. Not only that, but many came to Christ and were baptized.

Likewise, we have seen all over the world that when we preach the message of Christ and His death, burial, and resurrection, God confirms the Word with signs following.

Ministering in England

In December, I taught two Bible Studies on the Holy Spirit (The Holy Spirit Our Helper and You Can Receive More of the Holy Spirit) for the Gospel Tabernacle Evangelical Church in Highbridge, Somerset, England by video. On January 3, I will be preaching for their Sunday morning service by video. It’s great to be “traveling to the nations” using modern technology.

Dormitory Construction

Praise the Lord! The construction of the dormitory for the Mt. Moriah Bible School in the village of Danzounmey, southern Benin, West Africa, continues with the help of the funds which we sent in November. This dormitory will provide housing for a resident pastor and students, who are being raised up to minister in Gospel-needy rural areas of Benin.

I liked the Hammertoe story.
