Ministry News: Prairie Fires in Minnesota!
Dear Friends and Partners,
Thank you for your prayers for the Prairie Fires Men’s Advance in Hendricks last month. Men from at least 10 different churches in Minnesota and South Dakota came together for worship, fellowship, the ministry of the Word and prayer. In the morning session, I spoke on “The Precious Blood of Jesus” and shared my testimony. After a time of repentance, we shared the Lord’s supper together before having a great lunch provided by Faith Family Christian Center and Cedrics Restaurant.
In the afternoon session, I spoke on “Men, You are Called to Be a Blessing.” I spoke about Abraham who God said would be blessed and through him all the families of the earth would be blessed. I told the men that they likewise were called to be a blessing in their families, churches, communities and in the world. The key is surrendering your life to the Lord, and being filled with the Holy Spirit. We concluded the session with prayer and seeking God. Some men were weeping. There were prophetic words spoken over many of the men, and at least two men received instant healing from pain in their bodies. I told the men to take the fire they had received back to their homes, churches and communities and to let it spread.
Community Outreach in Gary, Minnesota
In late August, I ministered at Good News Fellowship Church in Gary in northern Minnesota. We had planned a community outreach at the City Park, but because of rain, the event was moved indoors. We still had great time though, with lots of hamburgers, brats and hot dogs. Some young families brought their children, and the ladies of the church had a Gospel program for them. People enjoyed some good country Gospel music and worship and I preached a message called “You are Valuable!” You are valuable in creation. You are valuable in redemption. You are valuable in God’s purpose for your life. Four people came forward for prayer to dedicate their lives to the Lord. On Sunday morning, I spoke to the faithful saints on “Building the Local Church” and we had a time of prayer dedicating ourselves to God’s plan through His Church.
With your help, we continue to reach out in the United States and around the world with the preaching of the Gospel. You are continually in our hearts and prayers. Please let us know how we can pray for you this month. God’s rich blessings!

Here are some comments in response to our email message, “Using Words to Stand Against the Enemy.”
I have used and confessed the scriptures from your “Overcoming Oppression” article in the past. I have an awesome testimony about this, and I don’t know if I shared it with you or not. Years ago, I was suffering greatly with anxiety in the night. It would get so bad that I could not sleep and my stomach was in knots. I would worry about everything, all night long. I lost a lot of sleep because of excessive anxiety. I had your “Overcoming Oppression” article on my fridge. I got up in the middle of the night and I went and started to confess those scriptures and tell the devil to leave. Something really amazing happened. I physically felt the oppression lift off of me. It was an actual physical manifestation. Also, I like that you said Christians are not possessed by the devil, but oppressed. I don’t believe we can be possessed either. How can the Holy Spirit and a demon live within us at the same time? The demon would have to flee if the Holy Spirit is truly there. However, I have friends that believe Christians can be possessed. I think the demons greatly bother us and try to oppress etc… but I don’t believe we are possessed if we are truly following Christ. (Minneapolis area)
More on “Using Words…”
Thanks for the teaching, “Overcoming Oppression.” At one time or another we are all going to be under attack. The funny thing is that sometimes we listen to the lies of the enemy for awhile and fight depression, when the enemy accuses me, and I don’t recognize His voice. Then the Holy Spirit reminds me of who I am in Christ, and I realize the battle is in the mind, and I can overcome Satan by the Word of His testimony and the blood of the Lamb. Jesus already won the victory. We just have to be watchful and stand against the enemy. (Minneapolis area)
The Basics of Deliverance
I thought it interesting your comments on depression and oppression. We have witnessed Satan in people. The basics of deliverance ministry is Satan has power but no authority but we have both in Christ. We can overcome by doing what you suggest in His (Christ’s) name. But, we must know we have the God-given authority and power to overcome. (Rochester)
Response to “How to Get the Devil Off Your Back”
Great message and a wonderful hope. I especially liked the statement you made: “Admit it and quit it!” It is discouraging to see people who come for prayer and counsel who just admit it but don’t quit it. Great to see your ministry going forward. (Kansas City)
