God has a purpose for your life, and it’s greater than you think!
His purpose for you is connected with His grand purpose, which is to fill the earth with His glory.
As you put yourself in position to hear from Him, meditate His Word, allow yourself to dream big dreams and begin to walk out your purpose, you will begin to see it come to pass.
This message will inspire, encourage and inform you how to fulfill your divine purpose in life.

VISIONS, DREAMS, AND PURPOSES
“I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.” Habakkuk 2:1-4, KJV. “For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.” Habakkuk 2:14, KJV.
MAIN THOUGHT: We can accomplish God’s purpose as we receive God’s vision, release our creative capacity to dream, discover our purpose and act upon these things.
WE BEGIN TO RELEASE THE POTENTIAL OF GOD WHEN WE RECEIVE JESUS!
“…Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3, KJV.
“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” 1 Peter 1:23, KJV.
Habakkuk said I’m gonna get up on the tower. I’m going to submit myself to God and begin to get a higher perspective. I’m going to listen to Him and be corrected as needed. I’m going to get out of my rebellion and chose God’s will. Only then could he hear from God.
THE VISION OF OUR LIFE IS FORMED THROUGH THE WORD OF GOD
“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:” 1 Peter 2:2, KJV.
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Joshua 1:8, 9, KJV.
Your devotional life, meditating God’s Word, anointed teaching produces the mind of Christ. Terry Law.
WE CAN ACCOMPLISH WHAT WE BELIEVE WE CAN ACCOMPLISH
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13, KJV.
Many times God’s people are living under a lie about their capacity to accomplish things for God. We must believe in the greatness of God. David was able to slay the giant, because he believed that he could. He believed that the God that was with him was greater than the devil that was in Goliath. Don’t live under the little “g.” What we accomplish in life has more to do with our own limitations, expectations, and aspirations than the will of God. We limit God by our doubt, fears and failure to act upon the will of God. In order to accomplish something, we must believe that we can… (2 Cor. 10:3-5)
“Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt. And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt? And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.” Exodus 3:10-12, KJV.
DREAMS ARE A GLIMPSE INTO THE FUTURE THAT GOD HAS FOR YOU
“And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.” Genesis 37:5.
Dreaming is the special capacity of humans, to conceive and idea and to bring it to fruition takes persistence and labor. There is a process—conception, pregnancy, travail, birth, nurture & growth. Life without a dream is hopeless. Without a dream, you will never accomplish anything. But when you are armed with a dream, you have power to overcome obstacles and to escape life’s prison of circumstances. Release your creative capacity to dream. See yourself accomplishing your goals. Dreams reveal what you could be in life, but when they meet with corresponding actions, they reveal your future. Pipe dreams. Enemies of dreams: Fear, ridicule, criticism, past failures. opposition, persecution. You have to press through all that and pursue your destiny. Don’t let someone else define who you are.
“And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh. Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.” Genesis 37:19, 20, KJV.
DISCOVER YOUR PURPOSE IN LIFE
“For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14, KJV.
You have divine purpose!
Man’s chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him for ever. (Westminster Shorter Catechism)
Romans 8:28 says you are “…called according to his purpose.”
(PBS) Worldly guy says discover your purpose. Then he gives default purpose. “To grow and to give.” By studying human beings he discovered the reality that these are the things that cause us to be fulfilled. Man from Africa told him, “Two most important days in your life: the day you were born, and the day you discovered why you were born.” This guy thinks man is an animal, yet he has more wisdom than many Christians.
“…the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.” Luke 16:8, KJV.
WE MUST PUT ACTION TO OUR VISIONS, DREAMS, AND PURPOSES
If I just had ____________, I could _________________. So you are paralyzed because you are waiting for something to happen before you will obey God. Don’t be in rebellion. You have to step out and obey God. Sometimes folks are just doing the same thing over and over again and getting no results. It’s time to change. Que sara, sara Christians. Your walk with God is a partnership! You are labors together with God. God says, “I’m looking for some cooperation.” We must act on the Word to see it come to pass. Example: salvation, baptism of the HS, healing, calling.
“But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” Proverbs 4:18, KJV.
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.” Psalms 37:23, KJV.
“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” James 1:22, KJV.
“And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.” Isaiah 30:21, KJV.
“After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not. And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas. And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us. And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.” Acts 16:7-10, KJV.
The path gets brighter as you take steps. You’re not going to have the whole picture all at once. Step out and the dream will unfold. Are you deceiving yourself into thinking that you are doing God’s will by waiting, waiting, waiting? Fulfilling the dream is about putting one foot in front of the other pointed in the right direction. You can do it. Begin to get out of the boat, step out on the water and fulfill the plan of God.
