He is Risen! Let the Rivers Flow!
It’s Time to Let the Rivers Flow!
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) (John 7:37-39, KJV).
As a result of Christ’s resurrection, we are living in the days of the great outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
Here we see Jesus in the temple, crying out, “If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.” Oh, thank God, there is living water flowing from the throne of God to us today!
But notice what the scripture says, “(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)” (John 7:39, KJV).
Jesus was speaking of something in the future, something that would happen after He was risen and glorified. Jesus died on the cross so we could receive the forgiveness of sins. He arose from the dead and ascended to heaven so that we might receive the power of the Holy Spirit. But this is not a power to keep to ourselves, for “out of your belly shall FLOW rivers of living waters.
He is risen! He is glorified! The Holy Spirit has been poured out. It’s time to enjoy the power of His resurrection. It’s time to let the rivers flow!
Happy Resurrection Day!
