“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.” Isaiah 60:1-3, KJV.

These are the days of the Greater Glory! These are the days of Great Awakening and Great Outpouring of the Spirit. It’s time to pull out all the stops and go for the Greater Glory.

The Christian life is so much more than fire insurance. It’s a life lived in the glory of God. We have great opportunities in these last days to bring forth the glory of God. The prophet says, “His glory shall be seen upon thee!” He says, “The Gentiles [unsaved nations] shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.”

This is God’s vision and plan for these last days. Yes, there is darkness in the land, BUT the LORD shall arise upon thee! It’s time to move out of low-level living and small-perspective thinking and realize that we, the body of Christ, are the hope of the world.

You may say, “Oh Tom, you’re being too dramatic, too grandiose. We are just little worms. We just need to be quiet and wait patiently for the Lord to come back.”

Well, I tell you, we may not be much in ourselves. But He says He will make us into “new sharp threshing instruments having teeth.” (Is. 41:15) With His glory upon us, we are mountain-movers and world-shakers. The early church were those who “turned the world upside down,” (Acts 17:6) but my Bible says, “The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts…” Haggai 2:9, KJV.

These are the days of the Greater Glory! These are the days of Great Awakening and Great Outpouring of the Spirit. It’s time to pull out all the stops and go for the Greater Glory.

Greater Glory in 2017

As we begin this new year, let’s contend for the Greater Glory. Let’s live lives guided and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Let’s live full of God’s Word. Let’s implement His plan for our lives, for our families, and for our ministries. There’s been enough compromise, enough sin, enough small thinking, enough superficial religion. It’s time rise up in the glory that Jesus gave to His Church. He said, “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:” John 17:22, KJV.

His glory is His manifested presence. It is God on the scene. It’s the Holy Ghost upon yielded vessels—not intellectual arguments, not religiosity. It is God Himself, manifested on the earth through you and me. That’s what this year will be—greater love, greater power, greater glory. God with us through vessels yielded to Him.

This is God’s evangelism plan! Everybody in the Church gets so filled up with God that His glory is spilling out all over the place. “But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD.” Numbers 14:21, KJV. How? Through His body, “…the fullness of Him that filleth all in all.” (Eph. 1.23)

How do you do it? Get in the Word and live by the Word. Get in the Spirit and live by the Spirit. Walk in the Spirit. Preach in the Spirit. Drink deeply of the new wine of the Holy Spirit and live in that place with him where His glory is revealed. Peter did that, and his shadow made the lame to walk. You are no different. It’s not about you anyway. It’s Him! It’s HIS glory—Greater Glory than you’ve ever known before!
