The greatest news ever is that Jesus died on the cross and rose again to give you eternal life. When you turn from sin and believe what Jesus did for you on the cross, God will forgive you, give you a new life, and reveal Himself to you in powerful ways. It’s Good News, and it’s for everyone!
God Has a Good Plan for Everyone!
In the beginning God created everything and made man in His image—perfect and sinless.
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1:1, NKJV.
“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” Genesis 1:27, NKJV.
Everyone is Separated from His Plan by Sin
Man listened to Satan and sinned against God and brought death upon the human race.
“So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.” Genesis 3:6, NKJV.
“Therefore, just as through one man [Adam] sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned–” Romans 5:12, NKJV.
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23, NKJV.
Jesus Died for Everyone!
Jesus Christ the Son of God died on a cross to pay the penalty for our sin and rose from the dead.
“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6, NKJV.
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8, NKJV.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23, NKJV.
“For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,” 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4, NKJV.
Everyone Can Know God and Receive Eternal Life
When we believe in Jesus Christ and receive Him as the our risen Lord and Savior, He forgives us, comes into our lives and transforms us into children of God.
““For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16, NKJV.
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:” John 1:12, NKJV.
“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”” Mark 1:15, NKJV.
“that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9, 10, NKJV.
Everyone Can Pray!
Pray this prayer from your heart:
Dear Father God, thank you for sending Jesus your Son to die for my sins. I believe He died for me and rose again from the dead. I turn from sin to to you and confess Jesus as Lord of my life. Thank you for saving me and making me your child, in Jesus name. Amen.
Welcome to the Family
Now that you have received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, take few minutes to praise and thank your heavenly Father for what He has done for you. Begin to pray and read the New Testament every day. Ask your Father to lead you to a Christian Church that preaches the Bible and believes in the power of the Holy Spirit. Follow the Lord in water baptism and ask the Lord to fill you with His Holy Spirit and to help you to live a holy life.
“Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Acts 2:38, NKJV.
“And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.” Acts 2:42, NKJV.
Next Steps
Here are three things that the Holy Spirit directed the men of Jerusalem (and us) to do—repent, be baptized, and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Throughout the book of Acts, we see that the Apostles were diligent in seeing that those who were coming to Christ were established in these three things. Learn more>>>
