God’s Love in Action: Healing Services, Evangelism Conference & Benin Update
By Tom Shanklin
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16, KJV.
We continue to have wonderful meetings and encounters for the Lord. Whether speaking to someone in the mall, encouraging a local church, or holding a healing service in India, it all fits under the general heading—God’s love in action!
We have had two healing services so far this month. In Minneapolis, we saw three people come for restoration of their fellowship with God. Many others were healed emotionally and in their physical bodies, with several testifying that the pain had instantly left their bodies. Similarly, at a healing aervice by Skype (an online video service) in Hyderabad, India, we saw great results. I’m excited to share the testimony of this meeting from Pastor Deva, our ministry partner in India. He also gives a follow-up report to our Believers School of Ministry, which we held in his church by Skype in late 2017 and early 2018.
Report from Pastor Deva
We praise God for the wonderful manifested presence of God. We had five people accepting Jesus for the first time at the healing service. Many were healed physically. People with body pains and an eye problem were healed.
1. One person (Anand Rao) was unable to lift his left hand because of severe pain. After prayer, he was moving his hand freely. All pain was gone.
2. Another woman (Bala Kishtamma) had eye pain specially when looking at things. She came the other week and testified that Jesus healed her after prayer.
3. Another brother (Rambabu) had pain in his left foot. After prayer, he felt relieved.
4. Another sister (Vijaya) got healed of her headache after prayer.
5. Another sister was struggling with sleeplessness. After prayer, she testified that she is able to sleep well.
Pastor Deva: Follow-up of BSOM [Believers School of Ministry]
We were having an evening time of worship and praise. Last night we did not have anyone leading songs, no instruments. We told all we will be singing and Jesus would be the leader and God would be the only audience. After a couple of songs, the Holy Spirit came on people. No one laid hands or prayed. However, God poured himself on His people. People felt convicted of their sin, and the need for more of Jesus. Moses and Smily, who were part of BSOM, were filled with the Holy Spirit and were speaking in unknown tongues for the very first time. They cried “Jesus!” and “Holy, Holy is our God.” They cried, “We need you more than anything. Your love is so great that you left the 99 sheep and came after me. I’m a sinner. Lord I need you.” We were amazed at His presence.
We thank God for His beautiful work. If you remember, last year during this time I was at your home discussing about what God was speaking from book of Acts, and we thought of starting BSOM. Now, exactly after a year, God poured Himself out where people were crying and confessing their sins. A couple of them were filled with Holy Spirit speaking with tongues. (Pastor Deva)
Please Pray for Our Harvest Evangelism Conference
I would like to ask for your prayers for our upcoming Harvest Evangelism Conference here in Mankato on Oct. 19-20. I believe that this is a significant event for our ministry, and for what God has for us to do in the days to come. I believe that we need to set aside time to sharpen our swords for God’s #1 job, evangelism. Jesus said the good shepherd leaves the 99 and goes after the one lost sheep. May that be our goal as well. Pray that many people will hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and be prompted to come, and that MUCH will be accomplished for the Kingdom of God. Please join us for the conference, if you are able. Click here for more details>>>

Update on Benin Mission
Susan and I are preparing for our mission to Benin, West Africa in January 2019—getting a required Yellow Fever Vaccination and Benin visa for Susan. The French translation of “You Can Touch the World” is complete and the book will be printed in November. The cost of the book has been covered by our partners. We will be distributing this tool to the ministers who attend our workers conference in Benin.
We will be preaching to the multitudes in open-air miracle crusades in the city of Hlassame and in the capital city of Cotonou. Our goal is to make this a paid-in-full, debt-free mission. At this time, we have received $350 of the $5,000 we need for airline tickets and other expenses. Your investment in this mission will yield tremendous fruit for the Kingdom.
We are Thankful for You!
Susan and I are so thankful for all the friends and partners of this ministry. Everyone has a different part, but each is important. Lately, more doors have been opening around the world for us, and the scope of our ministry has been greatly expanding. You enable us to keep preaching the Good News and to reach into new areas with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are touching lives directly through preaching, teaching, training, witnessing, and media, and we are supporting ministry in America, Asia, Africa and Europe in significant ways. So, when you plant seeds of finance, prayer, and encouragement, you are uniting with us in the vital mission of taking the Gospel to the world. I am optimistic about the future, because the Great God of the universe is mightily at work in all of our lives. Please let us know how you are doing and how we can pray with you.
