FireLog Ministry Report August 2018: Book Translation Updates & New Opportunities
Dear Partner,
We received testimonies and photos from the book distribution of You Can Touch the World in Pakistan. The book was translated into Urdu, the principal language of Pakistan, and 1,000 copies were printed. I am happy to see that the books are getting into the hands of people with hungry hearts who will share the Good News with others.
French Translation is Progressing
Meanwhile, the translation of You Can Touch the World into French has been completed and now is being prepared for printing. This initial printing of 1,000 books will be used as a part of our outreach to Benin, West Africa in January of 2019. The nice part is that we will be there in person for the distribution and will be able to give the books with our own hands. The cost of printing the books is approximately $2,000. Please agree with me that this need will be met along with all the other expenses for the mission to Benin. If you would like to invest in this project, you can click here to contribute, or send a check with “French Book Project” in the memo.
You Can Touch the World has proven to be an excellent tool for inspiring evangelism wherever it has gone. So far, the book has been translated into Nepalese, Telugu (a language of Southern India) Urdu, and French. The French translation (as the others already are) will be available for a free download from our website. French is spoken all over the world by 220 million people.
I’m very excited about the upcoming trip to Benin in January. Benin is the least evangelized non-Muslim nation in Africa. We will be preaching at two large open-air healing/salvation festivals and teaching in a leaders conference. Please agree with me that God’s Word will be proclaimed clearly and boldly and that signs and wonders will follow the Word, just as the Lord said they would.
Revival in the Park in Spring Grove, Minnesota
In July, Susan and I had a good time of ministry with our friends at For His Glory Church in Spring Grove, Minnesota, which is an outreach of our ministry. We called the service “Revival in the Park.” We held the meeting in the midst of some summer storms in a city park, but we were for the most part dry as we met under a shelter.
All the rain seemed appropriate as I preached on “Deep Waters” from Ezekial 47. I believe that in these last days we will see a fulfillment of the words of the prophet and there will be “waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.” (Ezekial 47:5, KJV) As God’s Spirit moves in greater and greater dimensions, people will not be able to ignore the power of God that is moving in the land. While in Spring Grove, I led praise and worship, something I have not done for a while. One of the songs we sang was “Let the River Flow!” Yes, Lord, let it flow! Let it flow! Let it flow!
