Finding Stability in an Unstable World [Audio & Video]
This current trial is exposing weak foundations which need to be strengthened. This is a time to get our feet on the rock of Jesus Christ, so we can have stability in an unstable world. Jesus said that events like this would procede his second coming. They are like birth pains, which ultimately will lead to a new heaven and a new earth. But before that happens, there will be a whole lot of shaking going on. This is no time to have your roots into material things, job, career, or popular culture. Nor is it a time to trust in politicians or anyone or anything other than the living God. When all this is gone, God’s Word will stand … and we can stand on it securely.

Notes: FINDING STABILITY IN AN UNSTABLE WORLD
“To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for the LORD; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, [And] established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth–Praise to our God; Many will see [it] and fear, And will trust in the LORD.” (Psalm 40:1-3 NKJV)
Main Thought: It’s time to get our feet firmly planted on the rock, Jesus Christ.
THERE’S A WHOLE LOT OF SHAKING GOING ON
”See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more [shall we not escape] if we turn away from Him who [speaks] from heaven, whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.” (Hebrews 12:25-28 NKJV) Daniel 7:14 an everlasting kingdom which will not be destroyed.
In these times, we must have our confidence in unseen things.
GETTING YOUR FEET UPON THE ROCK
“He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed [this] to you, but My Father who is in heaven. “And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16:15-18 NKJV)
“For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 3:11 NKJV)
“Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner[stone],” (Ephesians 2:19-20 NKJV)
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” (Matthew 24:35 NKJV)
GET YOUR BOOTS ON AND GET READY TO GO
“Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;” (Ephesians 6:14-15 NKJV)
“For who [is] God, except the LORD? And who [is] a rock, except our God? [It is] God who arms me with strength, And makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the [feet of] deer, And sets me on my high places. He teaches my hands to make war, So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great. You enlarged my path under me, So my feet did not slip. I have pursued my enemies and overtaken them; Neither did I turn back again till they were destroyed.” (Psalm 18:31-37 NKJV)
“And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!”” (Romans 10:15 NKJV)
PRAYER TO RECEIVE JESUS AS LORD:
”that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10 NKJV)
