Come to the Father [Audio & Video]
Jesus came to reveal the Father and make a way for us to come to Him. As He was preparing His disciples for the time of His departure, He said:
On that day you will ask Me nothing. Truly, truly I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give it to you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full . . . On that day you will ask in My name. I am not saying to you that I shall ask the Father on your behalf. For the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came from God. (John 16:23-24, 26-27, MEV).
The Father Himself loves you! The Greek word there means an affectionate love, or to kiss. Think of it. The God that created the universe, the God that dwells in the high and holy place loves you with an affectionate love.
Jesus died to make the way for you to come to the Father, not just when you die, but now. In fact, Jesus said that eternal life is knowing God the Father and the Son. So I want to encourage you. You CAN come to God, in Jesus’ name. You can know Him. You can experience His love in this life. Come to the Father!
